Women In Government

Women in government are underrepresented in most if not all countries worldwide. In many countries, women have had inadequate opportunities in social participation, especially in striving for political rights and power in the government and different institutions. This historical tendency still persists, although women are increasingly being elected to heads of state and government. As of December 2018, the global participation rate of women in national-level parliaments is 24.1%.In 2013, women accounted for 8% of all national leaders and 2% of all presidential posts. Furthermore, 75% of all female prime ministers and presidents have taken office in the past two decades.Source : Wikipedia

I would highly recommend Marla Mott- Smith and Candidate Accountability Programs to any political candidate. I was a member of Candidate Accountability Programs' small group training. When elected I will be better equipped to quickly gather information to place the right vote for what matters to my constituents. The sharing of campaign information among candidates was invaluable and guest speakers networked, contributed pertinent information and ideas.

Rebecca Sullivan, candidate for Utah State Legislature District 75.

Why did I start Candidate Accountability Programs, The Psychology of Campaigning? I believe in bringing solutions to issues rather than just complaining about things I disagree with.

I became politically active as a young mother in Hawaii when asked to door knock for a Democratic candidate running for the Hawaii State Legislature. I said yes, and took my three babies with me.
